El Choclo Accordion Tango Close Up

In this video I play the famous tango, El Choclo by Ángel Villoldo. It’s a lot of fun to play with the tango beat and some fancy bass work with lots of counterbasses and a tricky diminish chord that requires a big stretch between index and pinky fingers!

It’s rare to see the bass side of an accordion up close in a video, so I thought it would be fun to show off the bass work by mounting my GoPro camera right over the bass side. I did the same with the keyboard side while I was at it. The result is a very unique video by YouTube accordion video standards! It was tricky mounting the cameras and getting the right angles but it was worth it!

The other unique thing about this video is that I used stereo microphones. So if you want to hear more of the bass, pop out one of your earphones. For more keyboard melody, pop out the other side. The audio quality overall is much better than my previous videos.
